Devris (Dev) Hasan is a Cinematographer / Educator/ Producer who has been working in the Australian film and television industry for over 19 years. He has worked throughout Australia with leading production companies including Granada, ITV Studios and Southern Star Endemol and commercial organisations such as Tourism Australia. Devris has also been sharing his wealth of knowledge with others having lectured in film production for over 12 years at NIDA, TAFE, Metro Screen (NSW), FTI (WA) and Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS).
Devris has travelled to some of the most remote and beautiful places around Australia (from Cape Leveque, Nundroo to Uluru and so many more) in his capacity as a cinematographer/filmmaker and whilst running film training workshops. Recently Devris has been working closely with AFTRS’ Indigenous Open Program, travelling to urban and remote communities across Australia to teach digital storytelling to Indigenous youths and adults.
Devris had the opportunity to travel to Yirrkala NT for the 18th National Remote Indigenous Media Festival in 2016 and 20th Remote Indigenous Media Festival on Thursday Island in 2019 for First Nations Media.
